Coming Soon!!! PTP Career Development Fellowship Project

The infrastructural development of any country depends on its workforce. This workforce can be created only if emphases are placed on educating the minds of a citizenry that can contribute their best to the infrastructural development of a said country.

Every developed or developing country must strive to create a middle-class citizenry which is a driving force to the growth of its economy. This can be done through an empowered private sector. Sadly, the private sector has not gained much traction in Liberia because a lot of young people have not decided to take up careers that push economic growth and development.

Nowadays young people in Liberia are largely interested in political employment which puts more weight on the public sector and drains down the private sector.

Liberia will begin to grow economically when the government begins to reduce its size and allow a good climate for private-sector economic growth. To get to the point of creating this kind of economy, efforts must be made to prepare a generation that leads the charge of taking the country to the road of its full potential.

The goal of this project is to use our Mentor to professionally mentor, train, and encourage students to make career choices that contribute to nation-building and vibrant public and private sector economic growth.

Through this process, we hope to make our beneficiaries get self-awareness, gain educational and occupational information, and learn decision-making and career planning.

This project is modeled into three main categories, namely:

A. Three days Career Symposium to be conducted for our forty (40) students

B. Mentorship of (40) students throughout the project period, and

C. an Impact Survey.

At the end of this project, we hope to have mentored and provided career counseling for approximately Forty (40) students.

This one year project begins April 1, 2021, and ends March 31, 2022.

Forty (40) experienced professionals from diverse educational disciplines have volunteered their services to mentor the forty (40) students that will be selected for the fellowship.
